The day was simply gorgeous, there was so much love and laugher, but most of all we love it because of the location.

The Inn is a gorgeous, historic hotel that embodies the “old Florida” resort feel. We chose the Inn’s Beach Club for our reception because it overlooks the beautiful white, sandy beaches and the sun setting over the Gulf is something we wanted our guests to experience with us.

The wedding was held at the beach of the charming Gasparilla Inn in Boca Grande, Florida, and reception follow poolside. The setting was stunning! The wedding was right as the sun was setting, and it was so romantic!

We fell in love the second we stepped foot on the island; we both grew up going to different parts of Florida, but this just felt like a place that we could call our own and take our family to in the future.

We have such a beauty to share with you this morning. It’s the type of place people flock to Florida for, and the lush backdrop of the island of Boca Grande (a place near and dear to the Groom and his family) provided the perfect place for the pretty to unfold.

We had always envisioned a laid back, coastal location for our wedding weekend – a place where our friends and family could relax and spend the entire weekend on "vacation". The Gasparilla Inn was the perfect venue – classy, gorgeous and a little slice of old Florida.

After visiting the Gasparilla Inn many years before, the bride and groom decided on a destination wedding to Gasparilla Island,Florida and wanted to incorporate the island’s traditional Boca Grande style. The lanterns and glass accents create a gorgeous seaside feel and the giant tent with indoor trees made for the perfect, relaxed setting!

My family has been visiting The Gasparilla Inn on Boca Grande since I was three years old. To us, it is a place that symbolizes pure joy, relaxation and togetherness and these seemed like the perfect traits upon which to build a wedding weekend. Zach and I wanted to be able to spend as much time with our guests as we could, both in our bathing suits and in our wedding best, and having our wedding at the Inn enabled us to do that.

As a Marquis Jet Partners customer, Spanx inventor Sara Blakely was invited to a customer appreciation event, the Net Jet Annual Las Vegas Poker Tournament. Her sales representative for the company convinced Jess Itzler, the company’s founder, to give Sara a coveted spot at the table — despite the fact that she had never played before.
